Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia is a non-profit making organisation that seeks to confront injustice against young girls in Zambia who are being married off against their will at very young ages. The organisation was founded in 2008 by a young man who had a vision for a better Zambia in which there would be no child marriages and exploitation of young girls.
Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia is a member organization of the Girls Not Brides, a global partnership of civic society organisations committed to ending child marriages. The organization is also a chair member organization of the Choma District Child Online Protection Committee under the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), and Zambia Information and Technology Authority (ZICTA). Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia is also a member organization of the District Child Protection Coordinating Committee (DCPCC) under the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services.
The mission of Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia (MCMZ) is to provide a sustainable and
coordinated approach in the fight against child marriages, exploitation of children, and meeting needs of
retrieved child brides and children in distress.
We envision community where children are protected and grow up with a fulfilled childhood.
Our goal is to reduce the vulnerability of girls from being victims of early child marriage and exploitation.
